Entrepreneurship Program

ESDC offers an intensive, 15-week program that walks aspiring entrepreneurs through the steps they need to take to successfully establish a business.

Business owners are hand-held from start to finish to maximize program success, while they learn how to apply that same knowledge independently in the future when they become ready to expand their business. Our upcoming Spanish-language entrepreneurship program will begin in January of 2023. Upon completion of the program, business owners will know how to: Conduct market research, write a business plan, choose the right business structure, choose an effective business name, register their business with the state of Illinois, get federal and state tax ID numbers, apply for permits and licenses, build their business credit, develop a marketing plan, set up a business website, open a business bank account, and fund their business.
