In honor and recognition of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, celebrated in May, this month’s Empower Hour will feature BACP Chief Small Business Officer Lotika Pai chatting with Andrew Hong, Founder and CEO of WE EACH BELONG.

WE EACH BELONG is a restorative justice streetwear brand on a mission to grow a world where there is space for healing on every block. The business focuses on deepening relationship between Asians and other communities of color, not only by spreading inspiration through its line of shirts and hoodies, labeled as “wearable communication”, but also by providing actual healing-space trainings for free. The business participated in Canal POP! organized by the Coalition for a Better Chinese American Community, part of the BACP Small Business Storefront Activation Program. The participation in Canal POP!, Chinatown’s first AAPI Maker Incubator, brought awareness to the brand and made the clothing line more accessible.

The candid conversation will cover the start and growth of the business, participation in BACP Small Business Storefront Activation Program, community engagement and product collaborations. The webinar will end with a Q&A for attendees to ask questions.
